About The LAW Trust

The paramount object of law is to secure justice for all. The entire judicial system in our country is striving to achieve this noble aim. The fabric of this striving can be summarised as “Justice is the end and Law is the means to achieve that end”. A vigilant and right conscious society accomplishes more, than an ignorant and slothful bulk. Obviously, ignorance of law shuts people in the darkness and oppression. Ultimately, they will be swallowed by fear and end up as victim of exploitation. This is a reality. We cannot run away from it. Here lies the relevance of imparting legal awareness and legal assistance to all, especially to the poor and needy sections of the society.

Shri. P Santhosh Kumar, Advocate and teacher of repute in Law and Philosophy had the long-standing dream of taking the object of law, rights under it, its care, concern, compassion, and benefits beyond the confines of traditional systemic limitations to everyone, particularly to the oppressed, poorer and needy people of the society. His vision was shared with his well-wishers and the large following of students that he had taught and guided. The passion was infectious and everyone involved decided that a charitable, non-profit Trust was to be established to bring to reality the solemn, noble and onerous vision shared out of the burdened heart of Adv. P. Santhosh Kumar. In pursuance of that goal, The LAW Trust (The Legal Assistance and Welfare Trust) was formed and subsequently registered on 12th December, 2012
